Maybe you would like to ship a Tonka Truckload of your real estate proceeds to launching new satellites for Globalstar. I believe they will be raising a load of money soon.

Yikes.. I would be better served to burn it in the back yard fire pit. At least I could enjoy a roasted hot dog from the truckload of proceeds.

I think QUALCOMM should do it and get control of the whole thing. QUALCOMM could be selling millions of handsets and other devices to Globalstar customers if it was done right.

Ahhh Mqurice, that's one thing I've always admired about you.. Always the eternal optimist. No doubt that Globalstar was infested with Weazel Management, and that was one of it major downfalls. Like the LOOTING of over a hundred million dollars by Loral for payments towards spare satellites that would not be released without providing same Weazel management broad personal indemnifications from the Creditors. But, the market for such an expensive high flying telecom project just has never really been there. Let alone 2 of them.

Just look at these SDARS companies. Spent hundreds of millions of dollars to launch space based assets so they could deliver a couple hundred audio channels nationwide. Now, you have concepts like MeidaFlo that could deliver the same content via high power UHF transmitters over old Analog Television Spectrum at a tenth of the cost.

It's like one of my favorite stories about technology.

In the early 1980's. Ron Regain, President Regans son, set about to break the World Record time from St. Lous to New Orleans on the Mississippi River. He raised large amounts of money, with large corporate sponsorships. He had 3 engine high technology Cigarette type boat with a complete high tech refueling sytem. On shore and on river support teams, and hired the most experienced river boat navigator available.

Well, they encountered some technical snafus along the way, but the record was broken non the less.. It was considered a great success.

On a side note and with little fanfare... A few months later, a couple of guys in a "john boat" with a cooler full of beer broke the new World Record set a few months earlier by Ron Regans enterprise.

And so it goes,
