I have Verizon Broadband wireless. $60/month.
love it.
Not perfect, sometimes slow, depending on locale.
BuT, when it is up and running, and I must have internet access, it works very well enough.

Sometimes, the speed is in excess of 1 megabyte/min, faster than the usual 600 kb/min. of DSL. It really is worth the monthly price for my intermittent travel needs.
