I usually throw away a few bucks on the futures but laid off in this first round. Coincidentally, I did lay a few bucks on Scipion in the Risen Star--he said modestly--but not off his last few races. I happened to watch his performance in his maiden Saratoga race last August when he flashed by the entire field in the last 1/16th and it stayed with me.

Yes, indeed, he'll be in the second round but the price won't be attractive.
