Just came back from a two month sabbatical travelling around the world. Among my accumulated mail was a letter from Kryotech, which you will recall was a recent investment by Cohu.

Kryotech is selling their business to "two entities", with the sale expected to satisfy all creditors. Any extra will be distributed to the preferred stockholders--Intel and Cohu--who have "indicated a willingness to accept substantial reductions in their liquidation preferences". Don't know if this is because they are also the "two entities" who are ultimately buying the assets, or they are just happy to get out.

Either way, Cohu will take a loss on this deal, methinks.

Taking a bigger loss than Cohu,
