I'd never even heard of FireFox until you brought it up.

It wouldn't surprise me if there is, as you suspect, a deviation from standards.

And, yes, the whole site is full of Javascript. It's a big issue to me because of the amount of bloating in its bandwidth utilization caused by the use/misuse of JS.

The development site has absolutely zero Javascript on it and I won't use it unless I must. I despise Javascript.
