(Nasdaq: SEXI) announced today that the Ulster County Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) has completed its month-long evaluation of SYSTEMS' desktop video teleconferencing products for use in some of New York's K-12 classrooms. As the initial result of this evaluation, SYSTEMS has been asked to place a DVTCS-Ultra at the Ulster County Alternative High School, and to provide one mobile unit which the BOCES can use to demonstrate video teleconferencing to students and adults throughout the school system. The Ulster County BOCES is an intermediary school unit located in rural New York State which serves nine school districts in an area the size of Rhode Island. Ulster County BOCES is one of 38 BOCES units in New York State, and serves a population of 27,400 students housed in 53 public and parochial school sites, as well as other numerous small nonpublic schools. The Ulster County BOCES hosted the first New York State Compressed Video Technology Conference last March and has conducted a series of staff development courses on the subject. Through its efforts, students in local districts have connected with students and educators in many parts of the world including Australia, Sweden, and England. Two of its schools are planning to teach courses utilizing compressed video this coming fall.
