OT Re: Orange alert. Personally, I'm growing tired of these terrorist alerts. There is really very little that we citizens can do and so alarming a lot of people with an alert doesn't accomplish much, in my opinion. It seems to me the only motivation behind the alerts is to give the appearance that the government isn't asleep at the switch. If another attack happens and the government hasn't warned us they'll have egg on their face. Face it, sooner or later the terrorists will find a hole in our security and kill a number of Americans. That's just another risk that we have to learn to live with. But keep in mind that 43,000 Americans died in their cars last year or more than fifteen 9-11s. And yet we don't have a panic attack every time we buckle up. Maybe Tom Ridge should issue a Red Alert for the Christmas driving season instead.
