The value of a dollar here is irrelevant and only matters in terms of international trade. A dollar could be worth 50 Yen or 100 Yen, but if something is priced at $1, you will pay $1. It only makes a difference for the Japanese guy who has to pony up more or less to buy that same $1 item because he has to change currency first. You don't have to do that and don't lose or gain anything on the dollar devaluation in those terms.
