To all readers of this thread, I have a question regarding using my Sanyo 4900 as a modem.

First, I know this is not encouraged by PCS, but since I am I am doing it infrequently I am busing the privilege. Here's the situation and my problem.

I can connect to the web using my phone as a modem with no problem.
I can use Outlook to pick up my mail with the phone.
However, when I go to SEND mail, it gets bounced back with a message about a "missing carrier" or something like that.

My computer consultant thinks that I may have to add a setting in Outlook that allows PCS to recognize and send my mail. It could also be that Sprint has this feature blocked, so it cannot be used from a phone (vs. a modem card).

My questions:
1 - Is any one out there familiar with this problem?
2 - Does anyone know the solution? Is there a setting I can add to my Outlook and activate when I am using the Sanyo as my modem?

Any help much appreciated.
