Ruling Seen Today on Microsoft Appeal in Java Case

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A federal appeals court is expected to rule later on Thursday on whether Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq:MSFT - news) should be forced to incorporate Sun Microsystems Inc.'s (Nasdaq:SUNW - news) Java programming language in the Windows operating system, a source familiar with the case said.
