I wonder what the "Axis of Weasels" would look like with a CDU Chancellor and a strong ruling majority in Germany? With Schroeder's popularity hovering in the "20's"(that's got to be Weimar territory), this is a distinct possibility. Think. The possibilities are endless. :o} My bet is the CDU takes over for a while (next election cycle?) and begins to make many of the hard choices Germany needs to make about it's future - most particularly in reigning in union power, developing a credible military force, addressing demographic implosion, and reforming the worst excesses of the Social Welfare programs. The latest polls indicate that Germans are at rock bottom with the Social Democrats. Fed up to the gills. Anti US sentiment will not overcome this. Obviously. :o}
