Iridium, Blue Sky Link Up

Blue Sky Network joined Arlington, Va.-based Iridium Satellite LLC's growing service partner network to provide aviation customers with improved cockpit and cabin communications.

The service partner agreement gives Blue Sky, a provider of satellite communications for the aviation industry, an opportunity to support Iridium's strategy to develop and market specific products and services to commercial customers, especially those in the aviation sector that need remote communications, said Gino Picasso, Iridium's president and CEO. Blue Sky and Iridium will be able to let pilots and passengers on planes, large or small, communicate to and from anywhere in the world, he added.
