Windows ALWAYS gets unstable if left running for even
24 hours!! The usual symptoms are as you stated:
Running slower and slower and getting ready to crash.
If I can run 12 hours, I'm lucky.

But to keep STABLE, I ALWAYS have to reboot at LEAST
every 4-8 hours. This will differ from system to
system too. I run Win98.
