Yeah, he bought 4.3mm shares in the WTC aftermath, according to his SEC filing.

MSD purchased stock for $16.26 to $17.43, from 20 Sep to 27 Sep. Earlier, on 4 Sep, he exercised options to purchase 4.2mm shares on 4 Sep. He purchased the option related shares for between $1.45 to $4.63.

I'd say that MSD thinks that DELL represents a pretty good value at these levels.
