Wireless PDA's and Cell phones with voice recognition. (The real "killer app" for VR. Any device without a real keyboard or has a tiny display). Set-top boxes and dedicated appliances for music, graphics and video applications. Tivo type devices, (that the average user can program <g>), will breath more life into HD's. We'll probably see some TV's with the capability built in. New high capacity non-destructive read-out memory technology will find a place in hand held's and replace HD's in other devices where massive quantities of storage are not required. Etc., etc. While the PC isn't going away, I think some of these new area's represent better growth opportunities for semiconductors in the future. JMO's
