I was talking to one of my tech's recently about the future of ISDN. We spoke briefly, but he assured me that ISDN was not about to go away despite some of the concerns raised about fiber, ADSL, and VDSL. He tells me fiber is a long way off yet. He says ADSL and VDSL will both be utilized on ISDN lines. I'm going to find out more about this next week. I will try to get a few details online here. In any event, Ascend will release their own ADSL equipment late this year.
