KVH Takes Part in the New "Kompetenz-Centrum" at Boot Düsseldorf 2001
Hoersholm, Denmark, December 2000 - KVH Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq:KVHI) is pleased to announce that its European division, KVH Europe A/S, will be participating in the Kompetenz-Centrum, a new initiative in the German marine electronics market that has been launched for the Boot Düsseldorf show taking place January 20-28, 2001. As a participant in the Kompetenz-Centrum, KVH will be presenting its complete line of marine electronics systems, including its award-winning digital compasses, satellite TV antennas, and satellite telephone products.
The Kompetenz-Centrum, developed by H.E. Eissing, brings together for the first time complementary marine electronics manufacturers, dealers, and distributors within a single, customer-focused pavilion. While visiting the Kompetenz-Centrum, boaters will receive relevant, professional information pertaining to a wide range of marine electronics products. The Kompetenz-Centrum includes an open stage area for live product demonstrations in addition to kitchen and bar facilities supporting customer and exhibitor functions.
"We are very pleased to be a participating exhibitor within the Kompetenz-Centrum at the Boot Düsseldorf show," remarked Erling Mogensen, KVH Europe’s marketing manager. "This is a new approach for the German marine market and gives us an opportunity to meet with customers in an environment designed specifically to promote and display marine electronics products."
Within the Kompetenz-Centrum, KVH and its German KVH distributor, Nordwest-Funk GmbH, will be presenting KVH’s NMEA award-winning, DVB-compatible TracVision® satellite TV antennas, including the low-profile TracVision C3, the 45 cm TracVision 4 and TracVision G4, and the new 60 cm, extended range TracVision 6 and TracVision G6. Also on display will be the award-winning Tracphone® satellite telephone systems as well as a variety of precision electronic compasses, including the KVH GyroTrac™ gyro-stabilised digital compass.
"Participating in a dedicated marine electronics pavilion like the Kompetenz-Centrum is ideal for promoting KVH’s products and working with boaters," continued Mogensen. "This is especially true when discussing the range of satellite television and satellite communications products. We will be able to provide the high level of expertise required to guide customers to the best solution for their needs. In addition we will, in many cases, also be able to establish a direct contact between the boat owner wanting our equipment and the local installer from Mallorca, for example, who will be responsible for the installation and commissioning."
