Apple has had many failures. So many, that if the company was actually as described in this hack it would have never made it to the 21st century!

I think Apple is a company that is systemically in denial. They have a really hard time saying "we screwed up on that one, let's simply pick up the pieces and move on".

One button mouse, motorola CPU, the hockey puck mouse, the imac keyboard, apple talk... you name it.

They have survived not because of how they deal with their problems, but because of a so-called loyal user base that was locked up into the architecture.

BTW Jobs reign was the first time that Apple dealt with some of its failings in non-denial mode.
