Shorts trying to cover have created the panic. Look at this: messages.yahoo.com 
Though this is an unreliable yahoo link, SGCowen has not come out forthright and said anything about reducing the growth rates. It is the thought that they are going to reduce it that has caused this panic selling. Some big shorts took advantage. Who caused the news to spread? Mainly Briefing.com. Later on others such as MF started saying the same thing. The media is pathetic. They don't do any research. Look at the fundamentals of fibre. It will grow. HLIT has Charter and T and others and are growing at a good clip. You have listened to the CFO. He is essentially saying that this is a fire sale.
