Hard drives have no future??? I have to strongly disagree with
that statement. One has to consider the increasing resources required
to run increasingly complex software. One should also note that with
the advent of Windows 95 and related 32-bit software that the need for
hard disk space has significantly increased. And lastly, no one, at
least no one whom I know has been able to define where the internet
is going(if you know something I don't perhaps you could tell me
about it), but who's to say that the internet will be a resource pool
allowing the computer user to declare their hard drives obsolete. By
the way I heard that IBM is developing a new storage device using
lasers that can hold 1 terrabyte of data. Who's to say what one
can do with the space especially with new technologies such as DVD
with the ability to hold full length videos at 19.8 GB. So if
anything hard drives will be getting larger not stagnant at the one
GB mark
