If you read the Bre-X thread you will find lots of people asking a lot of the same questions that I have aked over here. Now they want to know what kind of an arrangement did Bre-X have with Kilborne, what lab did Kilborne use, etc. etc. etc.

At the time that Bre-X was doing so well, no one thought these were important. I do not think that BD would hire a f*ckin chicken assay lab, but maybe they just do their thing and then IPM sends the results to their lab for analysis. I will repeat a story I have told before.

A certain company was intereseted in some Platinum property in New Mexico based on assays from a lab in Silver City. They hired a drilling company and a consultant geologist to drill the property. The samples were handed over to the company and they took them to the lab in SC for analysis. Bingo, lots of platinum. They then turned these results over to a prestigious Mining Engineering firm to develop a mine plan which they did. The company did not hesitate to use the firms name. They then hired another prestigious metalurgical consultant to deveop a process for concentrating the ore based on samples provided by the company. The company then took the concentrated samples from the met consultant back to the lab in SC and bingo again - concentrated platinum. The only problem was that the lab was scamming the company. Actually, the guy running the lab thought he was really assaying Platinum and when it came out in court, he had numerous reasons why he could assay platinum and no one else could.

I have too much experience and knowledge of some of these southwestern labs ability to find platinum and unassayable gold not to question the BD contract and the names of the labs. I hope you understand where I am comming from.
