I must second your comments. It was my impression that Jeff was paid to promote ABMI. He was paid through being in special placements at the least. He posted everywhere trying to promote the stock and was privy to considerable info from the company. He said he wanted to make a career of promoting stocks, in fact, and to leave dentistry. It was in his self interest as a stockholder to promote the stock, of course. He pressured many people in private mail as well as on the boards, to buy the stock.

Everyone is responsible for his own decisions but there is still a responsibility involved in making recommendations that Jeff persistently denies. I consider that a flaw in ethics, by the way. I found this early on, after he pressured me to buy ABMI. Suddenly I realized that he was not the sort of person I wanted to deal with and I severed all discussion with him.

I'm left with some shares and may take them as a tax loss this year. It's entirely my responsibility that I bought this one. But I know that if I'd urged people to buy a stock and it had gone bad I'd certainly have accepted responsibility for what I'd done and would have felt very badly and most sincerely apologized. I've come out of lurk mode because I'm so appalled at Hencken's last few messages in which he denies what he's done.

I guess they don't have a required test of ethics in dental school.
